Amelia’s Whimsical Nursery

amelia-107 One of our favorite parts about our business is seeing the pieces we refinish truly come to life in the homes of our clients. And the icing on the cake is definitely when they put together an effortlessly chic and beautiful room!

We’re fortunate to call Amelia of the CHICago Life Blog not only a customer but also a dear friend, and we’ve loved seeing how she’s styled her MegMade pieces over the years. When her son Connor was born a few months ago, we were thrilled to see how she’d style our crisp white changing table, and as usual, she did not disappoint.

What we love about Amelia’s style is that she perfectly balances classic pieces with bold, beautiful pops of color – and her nursery is the exemplification of her gorgeous personal style. From the classic molding, to the sputnik chandelier and the whimsical stuffed giraffe – the whole room is part magical, part modern and a whole lot charming. Just take a peek for yourself of this stunning space…  amelia-152 amelia-157 amelia-165 amelia-167 amelia-161amelia-170What we’re even more impressed by is that Amelia did so much of the room on her own – down to installing the custom moldings during her third trimester (Talk about #PregnancyGoals!)

Clearly, all her hard work paid off tenfold (her nursery was recently featured in Style Me Pretty) and we’re so honored to have one of our pieces to last over the years in Connor’s room. A big thanks to Amelia for the privilege of being a part of her nursery (and the talented Megan Lindsay Shuptar for capturing it so beautifully).

And while we may be biased, we think the best part of the room is definitely the sweet family in it. Just try to not get warm fuzzy feelings by looking at how happy they are (and that cute little smile! We’re definitely melting…)amelia-112amelia-136amelia-140And since you’re probably like us and already can’t wait to see more of Amelia’s home, we’ll be sharing the rest of her gorgeous house with an interview in the coming weeks. We have to let Glitter Guide go first, we get it. Stay tuned, and believe us, it’s definitely worth the wait!
