COLOR EDIT – DECORATING WITH IVORY!
Ivory is in Y’all! Whether it’s the color of our pumpkins, our furniture, or even our clothes – Ivory is in this year and here to stay throughout the holiday season! It’s going from fall to winter, making our decor brighter, warmer, and cozier! Ivory is one of those colors that instantly transforms a piece of furniture because it’s the right amount of brightness, without overdoing it! But although it’s bright, it’s the best color to use to create some warmth without going dark! I mean, it’s literally just amazing! Today we’re going to show you how to incorporate touches of Ivory in your home, to make it extra cozy, and soft!

Let’s start with the Kitchen! To incorporate ivory in the kitchen, think ceramic! Usually, ceramic items come more in an ivory than in a bright white, and because of this, they bring a softness to the space like no other! The ceramic itself has an aesthetically soft appearance, which gives you double the points! Go in with an ivory fruit bowl, or some ivory canisters, or even a spoon rest, to incorporate the color in your kitchen! If you want to go bold with the ivory, to bring the softness to the next level, try going in with an ivory backsplash!
One way to instantly bring some softness to the bathroom is by adding an ivory framed mirror! Ivory decor typically is available in a lot of rustic elements, and if you have that farmhouse dream bathroom, or want it, start with a distressed ivory mirror! If that’s not enough, purchase some ivory bath towels, and have them hang or fold upon a towel rack. Ivory candles, ivory shower curtains, and ivory bathroom canisters – are all easy ways to introduce the color!

Pillows, pillows, pillows! I know, maybe it sounds too easy – but if we’re thinking to go softer, you need to add some ivory pillows in your decor! The only way I wouldn’t suggest this is if you have a white couch – but almost any other color would offset ivory amazingly! Besides the pillows, go in and add a throw blanket, and DEFINITELY add some ivory florals into a vase! If that’s not enough, try adding an area rug with hints of ivory to bring out all the new ivory elements in the room!

It’s time for a tablescape y’all! Adding ivory to your table is essential in making your dining room softer! Start with an ivory table runner or table cloth, or chargers or placemats and then go towards the middle and add your favorite ivory elements! Whether it’s a lantern, vase, some florals, candles, a pumpkin, a wooden sign – anything that represents you and your family would help make the perfect tablescape! If you want to really be bold, try going in with some upholstered ivory chairs!

Your bedroom should be the place that craves the softness most of all! One thing I love is to add some chunky knit or faux fur rugs or blankets in either over a chair or the footboard of the bed, to add that touch of coziness to the space! They usually have a natural-looking ivory color – that would be perfect for this! Other than that, going in and adding some wooden ivory crates that you can store blankets, or adding a tall standing ivory mirror frame, or even going in with an ivory upholstered chair if you have the space, would be perfect! If that’s too much, just start with the basics and go in with some new textiles like bedding, curtains, pillows, and even sheets! Using an ivory lampshade is also an awesome option!
