One Year Anniversary at Elston!

When we started MegMade six years ago, I did not think that we would be in such a prominent building so quickly. Guys, we literally started this thing out of our living room. I find many pinch me moments in our journey and moving into 2728 N Elston is one of the most notable. A year ago, we found this building and jumped head first into it and haven’t looked back.

*One of our first pieces being painted in our living room.

I am not a very nostalgic person, but I am a person that strives to operate out of gratitude. It is landmarks in our life like this that give me such an intense sense of gratitude that I just can barely stand.

I was listening to the song “Counting Every Blessing,” by Rend Collective, last week and the words struck me. They literally put my feelings into words.

I was lost, now I’m found by the father

I’ve been changed from a ruin to treasure

I’ve been given a hope and a future

I’ve been blessed beyond all measure

I am counting every blessing, counting every blessing

Letting go and trusting when I cannot see

I am counting every blessing, counting every blessing

Surely every season you are good to me

Oh, you are good to me

If you are not a Christian, please know that we love you and adore you and would never want to offend you. But this song is about trusting in Jesus and I wouldn’t be authentic if I didn’t state that it is our faith that has got us to this point without quitting. The last 6 years have been hard, grueling, but beautiful and trust-building. We have had months where we could hardly pay bills and were at the brink of closing the doors. But it has been His blessing to us that through thick and thin that we have continued to remain positive and hope and see the future He has in this business He created.

See we take ruin and make it treasure and we count every single person and piece that comes into this space as a blessing.

Thank you for making our dreams possible. We are thrilled to be celebrating 1 year in this incredible location. We could not have done it without you and your support!
