Colors of the Season: Lilac
We are starting to carry two fun colors in stock every season. For summer, we are carrying Violetta by Benjamin Moore and Castle Gray by Farrow and Ball.
Today, we are focusing on the Violetta. This color is close to lilac, which is very popular right now. Here is some inspiration of how to introduce this color into your home!
Lilac is the new blush. We’re starting to see it everywhere! It can be a great wall color or just an accent. Lilac can be a subtle way to introduced a feminine touch to a room. It’s unique without being overpowering.
Violetta can go with a warm or cool palette. On the left, copper tones bring out the warmth in the lilac, whereas in the right living room, gray tones create a cooler atmosphere. The versatility of the color makes it a viable pop of color in many different rooms. These images also show ways to successfully repeat the color. In one, the wall and couch are in lilac and in the other, you can see the chair color pops up again in the small decorative vase in the background.

I absolutely love how lilac looks with brass. The combination is truly gorgeous This bathroom is incredible- look at the chevron tiled floor! This look definitely leans into the feminine side of lilac, but the color we chose, Violetta, is a little more muted than this, allowing it to fit seamlessly with more masculine colors and touches.
This wallpaper on the right is so amazing! Again in both of these rooms, gold is a major player. In the kitchen, the lilac is the one pop of color in an otherwise neutral/white room. It is subtle and not overpowering, but adds a softness to the space. In contrast, the bathroom is bold and the use of purples in here are the main attraction. No matter what your relationship is with color, lilac can fit in your home. So, if you come in to customize a piece this summer, consider choosing Violetta!
