Easter recap + Transformed Tuesday
Before we reveal the transformation of the week, here is a recap of our Easter! We were supposed to go to Champaign, IL for Easter to spend the weekend with my in-laws, but our nephew got the flu, real bad, so we decided to stay in Chicago to keep our boys healthy, because we are all FINALLY feeling well.
So, we went to Easter service at our church, which Jarrett Stevens hit out of the park, on how Jesus’ death was not the end, but the beginning and that we are to live fully in his resurrection. The decorations at our church are always amazing because there are a lot of artistic people there. Check out the floral arrangements, love how they added paint to them. Gonna try it myself.
Then, in keeping with Sunday tradition, we took the family on a super fancy outing to Wendy’s. We are not big fast food eaters, but our Wells loves their cheeseburgers and Frosty’s, so we go there every Sunday… and why not Easter. Then we had Easter dinner in our front yard on a blanket while we looked for Easter eggs. It was pretty perfect.
This was my first Easter without our extended family and although we would have loved to have spent Easter with family, it turned out just great being us.
If you have followed our blog for a while you have realized that I blog a few times and then I would take long, and I mean LONG, breaks between posts. Well, I have turned a new leaf and am going to start blogging again at least 2-4 times a week. I know you probably are like, “ya right”, but I am for real!
Once a week, I am going to feature one of our best before and afters of the week. It will be on Tuesdays and it will now be called, quite catchy, “Transformed Tuesday.”
The reason we are going to start this new series is because the transformation of the pieces is what first pulled me into this business and it is what still inspires me. What was once rejected and tossed out, with some love, can be birthed into something beautiful again. Here is this weeks featured transformation.
This piece did not have hardware, looked like a cat had used the top as its scratch pad and was missing some detailing. Doesn’t the after look fabulous?
