Happy 4th of July!

The 4th of July is a great reminder to sit back, relax, and enjoy the summertime with your family! It also inspired me to take a closer look at the American Classic style of home decor. Whether you bleed red, white, and blue year-round, or simply put out a flag for the holiday, there are many different ways to celebrate our amazing country!

I love when houses have patriotic touches in their home. There is something so classic, and obviously patriotic, about an American Flag. To me, they act as a conversation piece for the family home. Chances are if a vintage American flag is hanging on the wall, the family will have a story behind it. Red, white, and blue are colors that I envision in a living room, lake house or child’s bedroom. So let’s swoon over these patriotic beauties together..

This photo from House Beautiful is so classic. I mean how rich is the color scheme? This framed flag add just a hint of vintage patriotism that adds so much character. This totally looks like it belongs in the Ralph Lauren Store on Michigan Avenue.

This photo from Liz Marie’s Blog is amazing! I feel like you would see this in the pages of Country Living. And as a side note, I know my boys would love to get their hands on that tricycle for a little 4th of July fun!

Speaking of boys rooms, how perfect would this room from Lonny Magazine be for a couple of kids? I could also see this being a great guest room at a beach house.

Check out these pillows! The subtle touches of red, white and blue can be the perfect pop of color into a neutral space. Rambling Renovators displayed this beautiful minimalist sunroom. This picture is 100% my style, I always gravitate towards simplicity. I would add these pillows into my house in a second!

Happy 4th of July, Y’all!
