MegMade’s Newest Addition – Meet Mr. Finn
I am going to start out with the fact that I am a little embarrassed that it has taken me this long to write this. I guess I can just chalk it up to third child syndrome. To say our life is busy with 3 boys is an understatement but life is beautiful during this chaos.
Our third son, Finley (Finn) James Piercy was born on October 3rd, 2018. Following his older brothers, he entered the world 2 weeks before his due date at 8 lbs. 5 ounces and 21 inches long. Thank God he was early as he was already ginormous. Also, like his older brothers, he entered the world very quickly! I woke up in the middle of the night with contractions. They were already 5 minutes apart. So we headed to the hospital at 6 in the morning. By the time I was checked out and checked in, they were getting closer together. I had an epidural at 9AM and little guy was born at 11:16AM.
The labor and delivery part has thankfully been pretty straight forward for me with the boys. It was the adjusting coming home after this one that was challenging. It was hard for me to figure out a routine. I am still trying to figure it out as I am slowly moving my way back to full time working-mom. It is not easy, I am not going to lie, but it is ok. I am going to write a full blog post about that soon as I have learned many lessons.
Little guy is happy, healthy and packing on pounds like he is ready to face his brothers. We are pretty sure he is going to be a linebacker. He has only been hit by a flying object a couple of times…phew! He handles his brothers kisses (more like head bangs) like a pro.
I guess, this is 3. Beautiful, crazy, fun, overwhelming and perfect all at the same time.
It would have been nice if he didnt wake me up in the middle of the night so I would have had the chance to at least wash my face and brush my teeth, but that is ok! Here are the first pics of mom and dad with our newest addition, sweet Finn.
That afternoon, his big brothers got to meet him. I asked Laura (our au pair/new best friend) to dress them up in cute clothes. Love that she chose their rodeo shirts because that is who they are. They are country boys being raised in the 3rd biggest city in the USA.
Their expressions when they first met him perfectly describe their love for their little brother. Wells was made to be a big brother. He has so much love in him, it overflows. Brooks is my more analytical one and wants to study him first. Both of them are doing amazing with him and hey, if my only complaint is they kiss him too much, I think they are doing just fine!
We had Bella Baby take a few photos while we were at the hospital. I am so glad we did. I love the photos of him alone, but especially love that we have this beautiful one of my mom holding him.
Then off to Julie Newell Photography (our good friends from our previous building on Berteau) to have his newborn photos by Liz. Again, they did not disappoint. Just look at these photos. They are art!
I could literally look at these pictures all day. I just want to remember him at this size forever because it goes way too fast!
