My Bedroom Redesign
A few weeks ago we partnered with Relativity Textiles Founder Erin Chlaghmo and Carolina M. Rodríguez to shoot my master bedroom and it was featured in Style Me Pretty. I recently finished putting up this beautiful peacock wallpaper from Relativity and I love how it turned out. I’m finally feeling like this room is done… at least for now 🙂
I love how subtle this wallpaper print is; it gives the walls texture without overpowering. Erin creates the designs by hand and then repeats it using screen printing. The paper went up easily! We chose to do it on three of the walls and then leave the fourth wall painted, as it is covered largely with windows and would’ve been a little trickier to put paper on anyway.
These nightstands are not identical, but we painted them to look like a pair. This painting was one of our first-ever auction finds. We got it for $80 and it fits perfectly over our bed! We’ve hunted but cannot seem to find an artist name anywhere on the painting, so it’s a mystery.
My husband actually loves the color pink, so I didn’t feel bad getting this headboard made in this beautiful dusty rose fabric… and then adding in the pink accents too! I live with three boys people! I get to have some pink in my room if I want to.
We got to take some great family photos during the shoot too! It’s crazy how much bigger our kids are since the last professional photos were taken.
I’m really happy with how the room turned out. It feels like us. It is bright and airy, a calming escape. Thanks to Erin and Carolina for helping put this shoot together!
