When we first bought this house, I knew it had good bones, but what I didn’t know was just how much it would grow with us and how much we would grow inside it. Looking back over the years, I can see not just the design changes, but the story of our family written in every wall, piece, and corner.

The Kitchen

When we first moved in, one of the first things we did was paint the cabinets green — it gave the space a quick refresh, giving us time to save up to do it right. Eventually, we took the leap and completely transformed it. Now it’s open, layered, and truly the heart of our home.

The oversized island has become our gathering spot, from morning pancakes with the boys to late-night laughs with friends. This was also a collaboration with Ferguson, and every finish, fixture, and detail feels like us. More than just a kitchen, it’s where memories are made every single day.

The Island: Oversized quartzite island, the true centerpiece, designed for gathering. We worked with GMD on this incredible stone. They are our go to for all things stone! Tell Andrew we sent you!

The Pendants: Ciara Pendant , with a slight nod to the nautical, Ciara reimagines a classic design in a way that feels current and modern.

The Accent Lighting: Donnell by Hudson Valley Lighting, refined and architectural, layering in a touch of modern edge.

The Stools: Four Hands Lewis Windsor Bar Stool , timeless craftsmanship with clean lines, offering comfort and durability around the island.

The Sconces: Jocelyn Flared Metal Sconce, classic yet modern, adding balance and warmth to the walls while tying in metallic accents.

One of our favorite parts of this transformation was our collaboration with Belarte, whose incredible wallpaper set the tone for the entire space. Their design brought both energy and sophistication, making this office as inspiring as it is functional.

When we moved in, the bedroom was filled with frilly lamps, ornate furniture, satin bedding, and even carpet in the bathroom, definitely not our style.

A few years back we gave it a bold refresh with mid-square wallpaper and yellow accents, which we loved for a while. But this round, we let the wallpaper lead. The landscape print from @belartestudio completely transformed the space soft, layered, and calming. Now it feels like our true oasis.

My oldest son’s bedroom especially shows that evolution. Designed with him in mind, it balances function with creativity so it feels both cozy and inspiring a space that can grow with him through every new season.

The best part? It’s a space that will grow with them. Right now, it’s perfect for our middle and youngest, a place they call their own. But long term, we know these built-ins will continue to serve us well as the boys get older.

It’s not just a bedroom, it’s a memory-maker. A room where laughter is loud, imaginations run wild, and brotherhood is built one bunk at a time.
