BEDROOMS THAT WILL INSPIRE YOUR NEXT DESIGN
When you're starting with a clean slate, sometimes it is SO difficult to know where to begin. Especially if you don't have something immediately in mind - settling on individual items without knowing what the overall design will look like is tough. The first step is to find inspiration photos you love, and go from there! I always recommend putting the most time and effort into your bedroom - it sets the tone for everything, because it's where you begin and end your day! This is a room you're allowed to splurge in! I know so many people have decided to start fresh during quarantine, so here are some bedrooms I love that can help inspire your next design:

If you're looking for a bright and airy space that still provides a pop of color, I think this design is the perfect one for you! I've used this wallpaper in a few of my home designs, and it is BALLER. Painting the trim to match your wallpaper is another way to make the space feel more cohesive and gives the look of an overall bigger room. I'm also a huge advocate for adding a bench at the end of your bed, and this leather look is the perfect addition. Add in another pop of fun by going with a faux animal skin rug, and you're set!

There are so many things I love about this bedroom design! Lately, I've been super into board and batten. I just think it adds another element of texture and contrast on an otherwise flat wall. Of course, the look of the vintage dressers in this room is my favorite! When designing a room, you want to make sure you're using a mix of different materials. The dark wood with an upholstered bed and the leather bench is the perfect way to create that mixture. The rug used in this photo is actually one of my favorites that we carry!

I've loved all of my bedrooms, but to this day, I still think about this one. This bedroom of mine was from two houses ago, and I just loved how refreshing it felt to wake up in. I went with a custom headboard to give a little pop of color, but otherwise, I kept it pretty simple in this one. The wallpaper we went with gave some pattern to the space, but was subtle enough to keep it light and airy. Whether we know it or not, or mind and body reacts to the sight of color, and sometimes going with a mostly neutral space can give you the energy you need to start the day off on the right foot!

This is another bedroom design that I LOVE! Y'all know I love wallpapered anything, but I especially love using peel and stick wallpaper. It's the best of both worlds because it's durable but also super easy to install on your own. The textures and tones in this room are perfect if you're looking to create a sanctuary you can escape to at the end of a busy day.

One thing I will say, do not be intimidated by dark colors in the bedroom! If you're looking to create a moody and masculine look - this design will be your holy grail. In my opinion, black is sometimes a more soothing color in the bedroom than white or other neutrals. It gives you a sense of calm, whereas a bright space may energize you. If you're going for a more masculine look, add leather elements to your next design, and make sure you use other dark textures and patterns to round it out.
