We launched our complimentary design services at the end of last year, and we've been loving working with y'all on all your fun projects! We've gotten a few questions on how our complimentary design process goes, so I figured it would be easiest to give you guys a step-by-step process of our interior design process and a little FAQ to answer some of our most common question! 

01 Reach Out 

Contact us at hello@megmade.com to start the process! We'll send you a questionnaire about your space & get you put in contact with our design team. We require an initial $1,000 downpayment to start the process, which will go straight towards the purchase of your future MegMade purchases!

02 Give Us Some Details 

From there, we'll set up an initial time to chat through your needs for the space and some inspirations for the look of the space. We're available in-store or via Zoom! 

03 Send Us Measurements

Once we learn more about what you're wanting out of your space, we'll put a room rendering together so we can talk through layout options to make your space fit your needs. 

04 Find Your Style 

We'll put together a design board for your space that will make your house a home like no other! Let's explore different swatches, product options and more! 

05 Enjoy Your Newly Designed Space 

Now it's time to sit back and leave the rest to us! Our designers will take care of the items purchased through the store and keep you updated on arrival times. We'll help coordinate delivery and can't wait to see your newly designed space put together! 

Here are some FAQs that might help answer more of your questions! : 

Q: What types of projects are you taking on? 

A: We take on projects big and small? From a few changes you need to add to your bedroom to furnishing an entire first floor, we can help you create the home of your dreams. If you're in the process of a big renovation or a new build, we ask that you provide your own contractor to take on the project. We mostly focus on the furnishing side of design -- from sourcing wallpaper, to lighting, helping with paint colors, full room design of a furniture plan/layout, and decor! 

Q: Will you come to my house?

A: Because of the way of the world right now, we are only taking design meetings at our showroom location, 2728 N Elston Avenue Chicago, IL, or via Zoom! 

Q: Will you only source products from MegMade?

A: We will source the best products for your design! The products and vendors that we sell here at MegMade are ones that we absolutely love, but we will source the best products for you! If that means pulling from other stores, we will! 

Q: How many rounds of edits do you get? 

A: You're allowed up to one round of edits. On our first initial call, we really try to get a feel for what you're looking for so we can get it right the first time! However, if there are a few things you want more options on, we can find some alternatives for you to make sure it's exactly the personality and feel you want to capture. 

Q: Why do you require $1,000 initial payment? 

A: When we're going through the design process with you, we work hard to make sure every detail is right for you and your space. To kick start that process, we want to make sure you're ready for the commitment that comes with taking the next step to get the home of your dreams, so we require the initial payment to make sure you're ready! That entire initial payment goes directly to the balance of anything you decide to get from MegMade.
