MY JOURNEY WITH CLOTHES

Many people don't know this, but clothing was my first creative outlet. My creativity really started by me being able to express myself and my vision through my personal style. I actually was a stylist for a short time before meeting Joe! I fell in love with mixing patterns and styles through clothing, which translated into my love for expressing myself through home design. As MegMade came to life and I started having kids, I put that passion on hold for a while. I'm sure we all can relate in some way or another, but having kids and running a business put me through a period of not loving trying on clothes or being inspired by the things I would wear. 

Now that we have MegMade established and I've grown to love the body (kind of) that gave me my amazing boys, I feel like I can get back into my passion that started me on this creative adventure. As someone who puts so much love into every design and piece of furniture we carry, I knew I could only partner with brands that I really love and trust. I've shopped at Evereve since I moved to Chicago almost fourteen years ago. Back when Joe and I couldn't afford a new changing table for Wells, I would go into their shop and find ways to recreate their looks. They've been one of my clothing inspirations for so long, so when they asked me to work with them, I was honored. 

Another thing I love about Evereve is that they're a couple-owned business just like Joe and I. Owning a business with your partner is one of the most rewarding experiences ever -- but it comes with its challenges!! I love that they've been able to make it such a loving experience to give everyone a space to find their style and feel beautiful with every piece of clothing that they try on -- whether it fits right or not! 

I'm so grateful to start this new journey of loving the clothes I'm wearing, and I hope it inspires you to love it too! I get a lot of questions about what I'm wearing, so we’re going to start posting a lot of asked about outfits so that everyone can have access to it. Let me know what you want to see!
