I'm not big on New Years resolutions at the beginning of the year. I think it's important to give yourself grace - because some days going to the gym is just not going to happen! Instead, I love the idea of coming up with a "word of the year" to live by in order to set your intentions and focus more on creating positive overall change. It can be a word, a phrase, or a few sentences that motivate you! This year, my word is INSPIRE. This next year is going to be an amazing journey full of challenges and triumphs, but I want to make sure that throughout the year I remember why Joe and I started. We have such a passion for creating new pieces perfect for your home out of old pieces you wouldn't have used otherwise - I never want to lose sight of my dream to inspire others to do the same! When I get to ground zero of why I love what I do so much, it's because I love to create and inspire the people around me to do the same.
Your word of the year will only be effective if you refer back to it constantly. When you're making decisions, ask yourself if it lines up with your word and overall goal for the year. This is so much easier to do when you actually SEE the word or phrase consistently. Throughout the past year, you've given so much love to our Yaha art, and we thought what better way keep your "word of the year" fresh in your mind than seeing it everyday on an art piece!
At our wrap event, we'll be selling customizable art made by Yaha as a reminder to incorporate your word of the year into everything you say and do! Choose a word (or a phrase!) and the colors and fonts that you like and she can create your own reminder of your word of the year! They're such special reminders to put positive thoughts and affirmations into the universe.
