It's been almost a year since we can out with our first collection of MegMade wallpaper -- time flies when you're having fun! I was just thinking about how much I love wallpaper, and I thought, "You know what - I want to share with you all just why!". If you know me, you know my love for wallpaper - it's so much fun one of the easiest ways to play with a room to fit your personality and style. Here are some of my favorite things about our MegMade Wallpaper Line!

For The Noncommital, The Confident & Anywhere In Between

Our wallpaper comes in three different forms: Peel and Stick, Unpasted Paper and Vinyl. We always say that our peel and stick option is great for "the noncommittal" aka someone like me who loves to change their space up every couple years. It's also great for renters! At the end of it's use, just peel it right off & your wall will go back to looking how it did before. Peel and stick is great for places like a bedroom or a powder room -- anywhere where you're looking for a fun pop of color and pattern with the ease of putting up wallpaper yourself. The best part about it? It has a smooth, self-adhesive backing, which allows for paste-free application and easy removal! If you're looking for something a little more permanent, I would recommend going with the unpasted paper or vinyl paper depending on your preference. These are great for places that might get a lot of moisture -- like a primary bathroom.

Patterns For Days

One of the easiest ways to change a space up, or change the demeanor of a piece of furniture is simply by incorporating some pattern! And wallpaper comes in so so so many different aesthetics and patterns. Sometimes it’s hard to just full on add pattern to a wall, or other big element of your room, but adding wallpaper to your furniture can be an easy transition, to liven things up a bit! Adding wallpaper to the outside of a piece of furniture, whether its the border of a book shelf, or the drawers of a dresser, or the backing to a curio cabinet - going bold with a pattern, can not only help recreate your space, but give life back to a piece of furniture that may have otherwise been overlooked!

No Mess

One thing that is so hard with changing a space, is the mess that comes with it! Painting an entire room, or even a piece of furniture, although it is ALWAYS worth it in the long run, can truly be messy - especially if you’re not used to that kind of thing. If you want a relatively lower effort, mess-free change, try going with some wallpaper! It’s not that it’s the absolute easiest thing to do, but, when you get the hang of it, the pros surely outweigh the cons!

Durability

Another amazing thing about wallpaper, especially if you have dogs or kiddos around, is that it is so durable! They are usually scrubbable, and also, protect the walls from damage, scratches, and all the other things that can happen! For renters, this can be a dream come true. Plus, wallpaper can easily last up to 15 + years without having to touch it up!

Texture

Sometimes our homes aren’t necessarily missing color or pattern - but it’s missing some texture! Let me tell you guys, texture is UNDERRATED! It adds visible weight, light or heavy, to the room, and the more texture - the more cozy the room looks! It’s like the difference between a plain polyester pillow, and a cotton. Although both may be similar, that extra feeling the cotton brings, can lighten the space, and make it seem airy, whereas a velvet pillow, may bring in some weight! It’s the same with the walls, adding some wallpaper into the space can change the overall “weight” of the room, and can be the difference of the room feeling full and cozy, to flat and uninviting! Wallpaper is one of the EASIEST ways to add instant texture to a space!

Versatile

Apart from texture and pattern wallpaper is versatile because of it’s many uses. Of course, primarily used for the wall - but if we think outside the box, adding it to furniture, to the back of bookcases, as a back-splash, as wall art with molding around like a frame and even on your stairs!
